Mahalo for using IZ's music. I was on the Islands when he passed. He is the Hawaiian Superman.
Ten years after his death on June 26, 1997, Israel Kamakawiwo‘ole remains a powerful influence on modern Hawaiian music and culture, both at home and abroad. He has, arguably, achieved iconic status; that his fame was built in large part on a medley of two songs with no connection to Hawai‘i seems almost irrelevant. The sounds of his gentle ukulele and sweet tenor remain as popular as ever; adults and children alike continue to listen and play his music, embracing his Wonderful World. E komo mai!
I will always support the Denver School of the Arts. After seven years of being a part of it, it truly did mold me into the artist and the human I am today. Good job, guys... keep the love and the honesty alive.
If you really knew me, you would know that I love people w/all their idiosyncracies (now that's a mouthful!) which makes all of us unique and special. How boring this world would be if we were all the same. I've participated in Challenge Day and that day still brings tears and smiles to my face. There are so many incredible people in this world and many more I'd like to meet. Thank you for putting this inspiring video together and as the man says at the end, we are all one people, brothers and sisters. Rock on!
If you really knew me you'd know it warms my heart to have met such cool people through Challenge Day and it inspires me to see the cool things you are doing! I wish you all the best and I hope your video goes all the way! Can they afford not to? The time is NOW people... reach out, share yourself and help another person smile and feel good about themselves.. it's simply the right thing to do! I know I am smiling! I also JUST got a call from a fellow circle buddy I met in Califonia... right out of the blue... he calls to say HELLO! *huge smiles* Keep the good stuff coming! Love the inspiration and message!
I am so proud of Denver with how they are noticing, choosing and acting in the world. As a mom of 3 little ones, I do pray that the one by one we love large, act in forgiveness and grace. The video is a beautful way to manifest the Be the Change movement. Way to go Denver. I am loving being in partnership with you all and Challenge Day using our hearts not our hands to change the world.

If you really knew me you would know that I am excited and scared about our future. If you really knew me you would know I love this country but I am afraid of what might happen if we have a republican in office for 4 more years. If knew me you would me you would know that I love this film and what it stands for, getting real.
