Good Afternoon Ladies and Germs ;)
I know you have all been waiting with anticipation to hear the news on tickets... WE ARE UP AND RUNNING!!! Here is the link to purchase them http://www.denverfilm.org/filmcenter/index.aspx?date=8/25/2008&year=2008...
So let me explain the deal with the tickets. When you purchase a GOOD seat you receive a years subscription (6 issues) of GOOD magazine. You will also receive a seat in the reserved section of Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Just so you guys know, all $20 is designated for your magazine subscription and 100% of the money will be paid to a select non-profit organization as a charitable contribution. So trust me, this little "fee" will get you an awesome time up at beautiful Red Rocks (http://www.redrocksonline.com/) as well as that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you do something that's giving back! Who can say no to that?!
At this moment we have The Apples in stereo (http://www.applesinstereo.com/) all set up and ready to go! Take a look at their site and get a little preview of their show for Cinemocracy! As more info comes my way I will forward it on to you so you readers of my little blog will be in the know!!!
There are a couple of things I wanted to talk to everyone about...
Keep in mind that voting for films officially ends in only 4 DAYS!! So if you've been putting off sending out those bulk emails... you better get up and get it done! We are now in time crunch mode :) Let me know if you'll want any jpegs or something quick and easy like that to send out. I've had one person take me up on that offer, and I have yet to receive a complaint ;).
The next thing I wanted to talk to everyone about is the Zoolander screening at Film on the Rocks (http://www.denverfilm.org/). I know this is limiting to only people in the Denver area, and I apologize for that, but I have something I could use a little help on. I will be up there on August 18th for the Zoolander screening trying to do some promo for the Cinemocracy ROCKS festival. I really need a "street team." Pretty much I need some volunteers to come up and walk around Red Rocks handing out Cinemocracy stuff and talking about their films! I can get you'll in to the Zoolander screening for free, and you can totally talk about your film while you're passing stuff out. I figure it's a great way for anyone who is interested, or has submitted a film in the Denver area to get out and talk to people about their film. So if you want to, I'm thinking I'm looking for five people, email me at acallis@cinemocracy.org.
On a final note, I wanted to thank everyone for being so involved. I've seen a HUGE jump in votes and views for all of the films, and I am really proud of you guys for doing some promotional work on your end. I LOVE the fact that your films are getting some play as well as sparking some great debate! Keep up the awesome work and thank you for allowing us to help you get your voice heard.
Well... I am going to get back to work now, the fun part of my day comes to a close with this blog and it's back to cracking the whip ;D I'll talk to you'll soon,

Hey guys! So I will send
Submitted on August 19th, 2008 by acallisHey guys! So I will send out an e-blast tomorrow, with a blog about all the details and the winners. If you have the ability to actually go to the STARZ film center and buy tickets from the box office, you can choose not to give your info. Otherwise, what I would do would be to call the box office at 303.595.3456 and they should be able to take orders over the phone! Hopefully I got all of the questions... Remember that you can always email me if it's important (or even if it's not ;), acallis@cinemocracy.org.

So how do we know if our
Submitted on August 16th, 2008 by AnonymousSo how do we know if our film will be shown? Do we get any free tickets if so?
Are there any free tickets for the public, or only $20 ones?
Is parking included in the $20 or is there an extra fee to park?
What is the schedule for the evening?
