Trey Parker and Matt Stone

Trey Parker and Matt Stone would be so proud of all the winners. Apparently everyone does love the montage! F yeah America!

Here's the email address to contact for this blog. Was posted a few posts back and needed to be repeated for convenience.

Seems to fit in with

Seems to fit in with everything else I have seen about "Democracy"
in America. Sold to the highest bidder.

The ones who are complaining

The ones who are complaining are giving even more reason to be disqualified, if they were smart they wouldve kept quiet.

And why is that? Because,

And why is that?

Because, if we were smart, they'd say "It's all been a terrible misunderstanding" and TELEPORT us to the convention with a letter for our bosses explaining why we said we'd probably need the day off because we were winning a contest and a free trip to denver, then saying the whole thing was a scam and we'd wind up at work anyway, THEN saying that the whole thing was just a misunderstanding and we had 20 minutes to get to the airport?

You're an idiot.

Ha ha. This should be

Ha ha. This should be called "American Democracy". We Americans preach democracy but no one seems to know what it is or can even hold it together for something as simple as a film contest.

CineMockery Needs A Paper

CineMockery Needs A Paper Trail.

The folks leaving positive

The folks leaving positive comments obviously have no clue of the injustice. Step up and show us a paper trail. Come on, what's really going on? This isn't about people whining simply because they did not win and you know it. What a complete joke.

Seriously, can't you all

Seriously, can't you all just play nice?
Such language. Is it really necessary?

Play nice? You mean lay down

Play nice?

You mean lay down and take it. You probably lobbied to stop the vote count in Florida too. Because it was so unbecoming to complain.

Not "lay down" but be

Not "lay down" but be civil.

Fight for what you believe in but in a tone that reinforces the intelligence, the talent and the courage demonstrated by the filmmakers on this site.

If you want respect you have to earn it. Irrelevant complaints (such as the one about the "capcha" word) and cursing in all caps, in my opinion, doesn't really further the cause.

For the record, I thought the vote count in Florida ended to soon and that people didn't complain enough.

I don't get it. What your

I don't get it. What your problem? Why would you have everyone vote on which one is the best and should go to Denver if you were just going to pick the winner yourselves? This reminds me of something but what is it? ... Oh that's it the 2000 elections!!! Who do you think you are the Supreme Court?

FUCK YOU!!

and why is my post word "straight"? You hate fags or something?

Go ahead, go to the media,

Go ahead, go to the media, go to the police, do whatever you want. Like anyone will take any of you seriously, since you're just gonna flood them with curse words. You're worse than communists, even communists would be so irritated with you that theyd put you in jail.

I sure hope the blogger has

I sure hope the blogger has security.
Is it really necessary to be so negative and mean?
It was a contest. Some people had to win, and sadly some had to lose.
It's never fun to lose but, really, why such ugliness?

Congratulations to ALL who had the courage and talent to participate. It's always a risk to put yourself out there.
Kudos to you ALL for doing so!

It is super fucked up how

It is super fucked up how you disregarded the people's choices and just picked your own favorites. How do you justify trampling over your own rules? That's not "democracy" and the Denver Film Society and Denver Office of Cultural Affairs have just distinguished themselves as worthless, vacuous organizations.

I add to the voices demanding an explanation and paper trail for these choices. Your "Cinemocracy" is about as legitimate as the Republicrats "democracy". Scumbags.

PS - Has anyone in Denver contacted the local media about this? I'm sure they'd be interested.

The first flag to this weird

The first flag to this weird contest was how hard it was to navigate the cheesey website to even find the submitted videos. The second flag was watching the stated requirements change mid-stream during the contest. The third strike is seeing who actually won.

Obvious to me to steer clear anything having to do with Denver Film Society and Denver Office of Cultural Affairs in the future.

What a disappointment.

With so much negativity

With so much negativity spewing, I just wanted to say that it looks like a good list to me. (From someone with no connection to any of the films/filmmakers and not from Colorado.)

Great project.

FUCK YOU, YA PIECE OF

FUCK YOU, YA PIECE OF SHIT.

YOU DIDN'T SPEND WEEKS WORKING TO PRODUCE A FILM FOR THIS BULLSHIT CONTEST AND EVEN MORE WEEKS CALLING EVERYBODY YOU KNEW AND EVERYBODY THEY KNEW TRYIN TO GET EVERY VOTE YOU POSSIBLY COULD ONLY TO GET CHEATED OUT OF THE WHOLE THING.

GO FUCK YOURSELF.

Budget Problems? from the

Budget Problems?

from the previous blog...
"...the winners will get one plane ticket and one hotel room (IF NEEDED)"

TOTAL FUCKING

TOTAL FUCKING BULLSHIT.

Though you were to be bound by the online voting audience you managed to make the actual scoring system so vague as to be able to pick 9 out 13 who just happen to be from Colorado. Some of which are complete crap. Congratulations.

I think we need a paper trail.

From your own website: "The

From your own website:

"The films which garner the most praise, interest and online votes will be screened during the 2008 Democratic National Convention."

"The top 10 videos (as determined by public online voting) will be screened publicly during the week of the 2008 Democratic National Convention."

"Bound to the result of the popular vote."

How is it possible that our film with almost 1900 votes, no matter what the weighted system
was, ended up NOT in the top ten.

I agree that you need to be transparent with your weighted system.

Carol

At least you got an

At least you got an honorable mention...

Some of us were even "Weighted" out of that.

This feels like the 2000

This feels like the 2000 election. I challenge Cinemocracy to post the vote tallies in order - from the most votes tp the least - as a list. The vote counts have been erased and unless people took screenshots, they are gone forever.
